Privacy Statement
The Business-Higher Education Forum (BHEF) offers this privacy statement in demonstration of its firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses BHEF's information gathering practices.
Information Collected
The information BHEF collects is used exclusively for the purchase of publications through the organization's online bookstore.
Order Forms: Our site uses an online shopping cart process, enabling customers to order BHEF publications and reports online, as well as an online order form that can be printed out and mailed to our fulfillment house. The information collected is used for billing and shipping purposes only, i.e., name and address. Financial information collected is used only to bill the user for products ordered.
Security
This website takes every precaution to protect users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and offline. When our forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), the information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry. For example: SSL Encryption is a method by which information transmitted across the Internet is scrambled to the point where it's virtually indecipherable by anyone who should intercept the data before it reaches its destination. Web pages where SSL encryption is activated are typically identified by a lock or key symbol displayed somewhere in your browser. Refer to your browser's documentation for the specific symbol and location. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also protect user information offline.
